What to AVOID      sugar

  • SUGAR increases your INSULIN levels, which leads not only to weight gain, but also high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease, diabetes, premature aging, cancer and more. Sugar dehydrates and leaves you feeling exhausted. Sugar is EIGHT times more addictive than COCAINE!
  •  All SODAS, especially diet sodas. Just ONE can of  coke contains 10 teaspoons of sugar! After 20 minutes of drinking soda, your BLOOD SUGAR spikes, your LIVER responds turning massive amounts of sugar into FAT.

DIET Soda is even worse, as Dr. Mercola, a naturopathic doctor, says “research clearly shows drinking diet sodas may DOUBLE your risk of OBESITY,” diet soda “stimulates fat storage and weight gain.”!

  • HFCS – High-Fructose Corn Syrup – processed fructose, is cheaper than table sugar and it’s largely used by food industry. Fructose doesn’t stimulate insulin production, which means it isn’t utilized for energy, but rather is STORED in the liver as TRIGLYCERIDES. HFCS is addictive and encourages weight gain and obesity. HFCS distorts the body’s MAGNESIUM balance, thereby accelerating bone loss, among many other unhealthy effects.
  • Artificial SWEETENERS raise your risk of DIABETES. Aspartame is linked to COGNITIVE dysfunction, BEHAVIOR  issues, MOOD disorders and SYSTEMIC inflammation.
  • ALCOHOL is a NEUROTOXIN and is converted by your body into SIMPLE SUGAR, it has the same effects!

  • MSG – monosodium glutamate a flavor enhancer, is an excitotoxin has been associated with OBESITY, eye  damage, fatigue, disorientation, depression, rapid heartbeat, numbness and tingling. MSG might not appear in the ingredient list. Instead, dozens of other names may be used, such as glutamic acid, hydrolyzed protein, yeast extract, and dozens of others.                                              grains

  • CAFFEINE only gives you the illusion of energy boost not the real thing, after that first effect your energy levels will drop very low, coffee can interfere with your body’s ability to use water, raise the cholesterol, send the insulin levels out of control, contribute to rheumatoid arthritis and stroke, damage the blood vessels, increase the risk of heart disease.

Caffeine interferes with the body’s ability to use folate, vitamins B12 and B6 needed to keep the homocysteine levels in a healthy range.

Coffee beans are heavily sprayed with pesticides including glyphosate. Coffee stimulates the adrenals, if you drink it every day it will trigger a cascade of hormone imbalances, it raises the acidity levels in the blood causing calcium to be pulled out of your bones and teeth as a buffering agent.

  • Water, the elixir of life, 70 percent of your body is water, it is estimated that 75 percent of Americans are chronically dehydrated, even if you don’t drink coffee, soda or other diuretics you may still be dehydrated.

  1. Your body needs water to make new cells of every type: blood, bone, skin, etc.,
  2. With enough water the lymphatic system operates at pick removing wastes and toxins,
  3. Water lubricates your joints, helps bring nutrients to your nervous system, helps keep your vision clearer and your teeth stronger,
  4. Water regulates your metabolism, aids digestion and temperature control,

  • Eat Protein with every meal, especially breakfast in order to balance blood sugar, insulin and cutting cravings. Eat whole farm eggs or a protein shake, wild fish, pastured chicken, or grass-fed meat. The serving size should be 4 – 6 ounces or the size of your palm,
  • Nuts and Seeds – are ideal for snacks, they contain protein too,
  • Fats – fight sugar with fat. Fat doesn’t make you fat, sugar does. Fat makes you full, balances your blood sugar and feeds your cells. Have good fats with every meal extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, butter, avocados and omega 3 from fish,
  • Organic Vegetables (non-starchy vegetables) –  preferably raw, greens, the broccoli family (cauliflower, kale and collards – note if you have thyroid issues don’t eat them raw, cook for 20 minutes instead and you will have also great benefits), asparagus, green beans, onions, zucchini, fennel, eggplant, artichokes, peppers,
  • Sprouts maximizes the nutritional content,
  • Berries – they are super foods loaded with antioxidants and nutrients,  berries
  • Cultured and fermented foods –  kefir, kombucha, natto, kimchi, fermented vegetables,
  • Juicing fresh organic vegetables has a powerful effect to reset your health, it removes all kind of bad stuff and nourish your cells like nothing else!

  2. Hi!  Wow, thanks for this amazing article. I have done a 28 day detox before and it was amazing.  I’ve also done a 3 day and 10 day Keto Reboot and felt super amazing.  I have since switched to a keto lifestyle and do a reboot each month.  I don’t miss the sugar at all.  I have found amazing recipes and some pastry shops that make amazing keto pastries that are much better tasting than the normal sugar/carb filled normal treats. I’ve lost lots of weight but to me its not about the weight. Its more about the way you feel, the better your clothes fit, the super energy it creates and the better my mind and focus have been since starting this lifestyle.  I appreciate your detailed analysis and great tips.  Thanks!
